Delaney Vandergrift is an award-winning social impact strategist and cultural worker. Currently, she works as the Cultural Programming Manager at Southern Vision Alliance. Previously, she worked for for Showtime/MTV Entertainment & Paramount Media Networks as a Manager of Social Impact, creating high-impact strategies and providing consultation for both unscripted and scripted TV shows. Prior to this, Delaney was an organizer in her home state of North Carolina. She co-founded Refund Raleigh, an organization fighting to end police violence and economic exploitation by advocating for a city budget made by the people and for the people.
During the 2020 Presidential Election cycle, Delaney served as Bernie 2020’s HBCU Organizing Manager, where she created a culturally relevant student organizing program. Over 500 HBCU students volunteered their time to organize their campuses for Bernie, register students to vote, and create political education experiences that would keep students engaged well after the election season. Bernie 2020 won the precinct at the largest public HBCU in the country and Delaney's alma mater, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. While a student at North Carolina A&T SU, she was Student Body President and a member of the Board of Trustees. Aggie Pride!
